Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return for Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti said he will make a late decision on the 29-year-old, who has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury.
"He we will have another test but it is obvious he will play if everyone is sure that he doesn't have any problems," said Ancelotti.
Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has never lost in six visits to Real.
However, the former Barcelona boss played down his record at the Bernabeu Stadium.
"My record here was with another team, in a different situation and in a different time," he said.
"It has nothing to do with Bayern. We will have to produce an outstanding performance to play. That is what you must always do when you play Real Madrid, especially in a semi-final."
However, Bayern have beaten Madrid in four of the five European Cup semi-finals that the two teams have contested.
Real have won the competition a record nine times but are aiming for their first Champions League final in 12 years.
"The team has confidence as at the start of the season and now we are also playing well," added Ancelotti.
"We want to win as much as anybody and claim the 10th which I see as an advantage for us and not an obsession. We will do what we can to win."
